Imaging modality is an examination to diagnose and support medical practice. It helps doctors examining patients’ internal organs. Radiology examinations, such as conventional radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, Computed Tomography scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy, are used to diagnose diseases and to support medical procedures. Radiology examination can be used in both adults and children, especially when there is a proper indication for the examination. Radiology examination in children put less radiation than in adults. In radiology field, there are subspecialists who study specifically all radiology examinations in children, in which Pediatric Radiology. Because of differences in imaging features of fetus, neonates and pediatrics, there are certain skills to interpret the imaging of each patient. Each pediatrics’ organ develop differently in every stage of life. Therefore, special knowledge is needed for radiologists to diagnose pathologies in pediatrics. In order to increase the knowledge and comprehension about pediatric radiology, Radiology Study Program of Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Medicine held a guest lecture with a competent source person from pediatric radiology field.
